I know you have probably heard it a billion times already today, but it is important enough to say it again…get out there and vote.  It sounds like this is going to be a historic turnout, as it should.  These are some tough times in our economy and we certainly need good leadership for the next 4 years.  Spend some  time in prayer, and then go vote.

I have had a cold for the last week and it has just been miserable. Just wipes you out, clogs up your head and makes you feel nasty. Today I am feeling much better but still getting over the stuffy nose etc.

It’s one of those things that I like to know who made me sick. Who’s fault is it?? This time I just couldn’t figure it out, nobody I have been around is sick, no one in the church is sick. Mind boggling. I must have just picked up a bug somewhere, a tough one though. Usually I get over a cold in a couple of days. This one kicked my butt for a whole week.

Here’s a thought for next time…Last week our leadership team talked about what they liked about church. I was fascinated by the answers. I will share some of the responses after we talk a little more about it at our next meeting on Saturday. Have a great weekend.

Life sometimes has a way of piling a whole bunch of junk on you at the same time. Especially when chasing after the dream God has set before you. Why this happens is a mystery. It may be the enemy attacking, it may be people resistant to success, it may be just circumstance, it’s really hard to know for sure. One thing we do know is that we have to keep trusting God.

No matter who sticks with you, no matter who comes against you…God set this in motion. I know it’s easy to look at circumstances and want to throw in the towel, but God does know the outcome. It really doesn’t matter if the outcome looks like success to you, God still has a plan even if we think it’s a failure. Trust that God knows what is going on even when we don’t have a clue.

For the last few days I have been looking at new phones for the family and finally took the plunge yesterday.  I upgraded our plan and phones so my wife and I could get a Blackberry Curve.  All I can say so far this thing is pretty cool.  It has everything I need…phone, email, text, calender, internet, plus all sorts of music and entertainment.  It’s a great way to stay wired and connected no matter where you go.
