Many of you know I have been coaching my daughters softball team this year and it has been a great time. This last weekend was one of those moments in life that a parent will remember for ever! We were playing in a tournament in Becker and really struggled pulling together on day one as a team. As we began day two of the tournament the girls really began to function as a team everyone giving 110% and really working hard. We won our way back through the losers bracket to take 3rd place! It was awesome.
My youngest daugher who is 9 actually put on a uniform and joined the 12 year olds the first two games as a sub because we only had 9 players and didn’t want to have to play with eight. She stepped in like a little champ. Ended up scoring a run and facing a pitcher that was super fast. Scared her (and Dad)! So to sum it up I got to experience a once in a lifetime event watching two of my girls play on the same team and cheer each other on. They both played great as did all the team. What a time at the last victory as we celebrated and I got to put medals on all the girls who have worked so hard this year and it all came together this weekend. Not to mention the elation of putting medals on two of my own! It’s a moment I will remember for a very long time.
