So I suppose this is where the story begins. This is about a dream or should I call it an experiment in what a church should be. Can a church function in America and believe in Fundamental values yet be relevant to our community. Can we be conservative in our theology yet progressive in its application? Is it possible to cut out the mundane of religion and yet stay true our heritage?
My desire is that church should be fun, exciting, safe and allow people in all phases of their faith journey. Anywhere from those that aren’t sure what they beleive to those that have been doing it a while. We should live our faith not talk about it, we should tell others what we believe not force our opinions of tradition.
I come from a business background in sales and marketing. I believe in customer service. This can and should be applicable in the church, after all if we are doing the business of God, shouldn’t it be run to the best of our abilities?
Last but not least, I believe in good coffee, churches should always serve good coffee! So here it is, day one on Pastor’s Rant

I do not drink coffee, but I do like cold Pepsi.
No matter what else is on the menu. Good Coffee is a must.
You can discuss just about anything over a good cup of java. If the Java’s bad; the conversation will be about as tasteless.
Conservative theology – call it a steady course in the rough times of life. If we try to articulate the waves of trials and tribulation to quickly or blindly; we could travel right past those that need us and God, without even a second glance.
Progressive application – Like good coffee. It takes patience and a lot of practice to get the mixture and the grind just right. Once you have got it right for you does not mean that everyone will like it. If you meet someone and you are put off by there “grind”, you should accept there “flavor” as it applies to them. You may come away with a better mix for your java; if not you should take away the positive aspects of you and where they are.
Mundane Religion – Religion in its purest form is mundane. As christians we must stick out like a sore thumb. Humanity will pass by those who sit by and claim to be religious. If you grab tightly, you better hold on, your relationship with Jesus and let it run away with your life – the joy, happiness, true spiritfilled reality of His life will show you every step to take and when to take it.
Pastor Chad,
You have taken on a journey for the ages. You must hold strong to you beliefs and ask for the knowledge and guidance you need everyday. Everyday will pose new and exciting opportunities for grown; but you will be challenged everyday to make the right choice. You can say to any question – “I’ll get back with you.” Then you consult with Him, for the answers. Remembering that they come in His time and not always the way we want.
God’s blessings will be with you and your family.
Wow. What else can I say to this comment.
Chad
