About
Hi, my name is Chad Dvoracek, welcome to my site! I am a Pastor living in the western suburbs of Minneapolis.
This is my musings about life, faith and what I think the modern church could achieve. This is an experiment in the process of wanting to see the model of church and ethos (who we are down deep) be a community that will embrace change and encourage the next generation. I want to inspire people to experience God and be all they can be for Jesus. It doesn’t matter if your methods look different then mine, just go for it! Live your faith! Get out there on the edge, take some risk and see God do wonderful things.
My partner in ministry and partner in life is my wife Laurie. God knew what he was doing when he put the two of us together and I am grateful for it. Yes, she was out of my league, isn’t God good!
I have three beautiful and talented daughters, Samantha, Alaethia and Rebecca. It is amazing watching them grow up and become who God made them to be.
I hold a Bachelors degree in Pastoral Studies and Biblical Greek from North Central University and am currently enrolled as a MTh candidate in Textual Criticism with the London School of Theology. Although my degree will come from the London School of Theology, I am able to complete my work here in the Twin Cities. Send me an email if you want to know more about this program. My current research is in Family 1 in Mark. I am completing some exciting original research about these ancient documents.
I love music whether it is for worship or for entertainment I enjoy listening to talented people express themselves in music. Modern worship has got to be at the top top of the list though, worship with some edge on it! I really enjoy guitars and all the gear that goes along with it, when we are driving down the road I tell my kids the first one to see a guitar shop gets a dollar. If you would like to know more about my guitars and gear click on the gear tab above.
I am highly passionate about missions. I have traveled numerous times to Nicaragua to build schools and churches. Do you want to go with? Let me know. Here is a couple of pictures from our trip last year. The first one shows us getting some work done on the building project in Guayavilla, and the second one is my daughter, Alaethia, playing with some of the kids in the neighborhood. What a great time!
